Is There an Admission Charge?

No. The only charge is for Wine tasting and for whatever food, drink, craft or produce you may purchase on the day.

How much are the Wine Tasting Ticket?

Wine Tasting packages start at just $15.00 which includes a Souvenir Wine Glass and 5 tasting tickets (ideal for lunch or just to stay under .05!). $25.00 gets you a souvenir glass and 10 tasting tickets. For $45.00 you receive a Souvenir Wine Glass and 20 tasting tickets. For those wanting to share, the $50.00 package includes 2 Souvenir Wine glasses and 20 tasting tickets. Please note that all prices are GST inclusive, and you must have an official Souvenir Glass to participate in the tastings.

How Does it Work?

The choice is yours! You choose which Wines to taste from the Mudgee Wine stalls. For each taste, you provide the Wine stall with 1 coupon. Each taste provides you with 40mls of Wine. Of course you can also have a full glass which equates to 5 tasting coupons. Please note some Wineries may require extra tickets to sample more expensive Wines or Premium ranges. Signs at their individual stalls will notify patrons of this.

When Can I Taste?

Licensing hours for the event are from 10am to 5pm on Sunday 10th August. No tasting is permitted outside of these hours, so it is important to give yourself enough time to use your coupons and enjoy the Wines on offer. The sale of tasting tickets will cease at 4.00pm.

Can I Buy Wine by the Bottle?

Yes! The new liquor licensing laws introduced July 1st 2008  do allow you to buy Wine by the bottle but under these new laws the Wineries may only sell sealed bottles and these may not be consumed within the Wine Fair area. Wines sold are for take-home consumption. You can also place orders for delivery to your home after the event.

How do I Win a ‘Getaway’ Package to Mudgee?

You will receive an entry form when you purchase tasting tickets. Visit the Mudgee Region Tourism stand at Balmoral and complete the quick questionnaire to be in the draw to win a fantastic package for two in Mudgee.

The winner will be drawn at 4.00pm on Sunday 10th August in the Rotunda. The Winner will be announced via the public address system, and notified by certified mail. NB: Full details including Terms & Conditions will be on display at the point of entry.

Will There Be Entertainment For Children? More info...

Yes, the Golden Ridge Animal Farm will be at Balmoral from 10.00am! Children will have the opportunity to get up close & personal with some farm animals including goats, sheep, lambs, chickens, chicks, ducklings and rabbits. A small charge will apply for those wishing to feed the animals.

Will There Be Live Music? More info...

As always we'll have plenty of live music to keep you entertained, so make sure you take those dancing lessons!
