Welcome to the Mudgee Wine Grape Growers Association

The Mudgee Wine Grape Growers Association Inc. (MWGGA) is the primary representitive body for the wine industry in the Mudgee region and represents the interests of both the wine makers and grape growers.

The primary objectives of Mudgee Wine Grape Growers Association Inc. are:

1. To promote the growing of quality wine grapes and winemaking in the Mudgee Wine Region.
2. To publicise the grape growing and wine making activities of the region.
3. To conduct wine shows and other events.
4. To act as a central point of contact for domestic / export trade enquiries.
5. To promote tourism to the wine growing districts of the region.
6. To provide technical assistance for members of the association on viticulture and winemaking and to educate and assist grape growers and Winemakers to improve the quality and profitability of grapes and wines produced in the region.
7. To co-operate with other groups, persons and government departments to achieve these objectives.

During the year, the MWGGA hold numerous events including Wine Celebration for the month of September, the Mudgee Wine & Food fair at Balmoral and the annual Mudgee Wine Show.

As well as these events, we also conduct a number of training seminars which are designed to keep those working in the wine industry abreast of the latest techniques and proceedures.
