Mudgee is proud to be a regional Wine Show meaning that the Show only accepts wines that have be made with grapes grown within the Mudgee GI. This allows us not only to reward producers with medals and trophies for their successful entries but also provides the scope for the Wine Show to retain an important education focus for local Winemakers. This will hopefully allow local producers to continually improve the quality of their wines and is in the true spirit of the Australian Wine Show system. Mudgee Wine Show is pleased to be able to continue to pursue this ideal in a very practical way.

This year the 2009 Mudgee Wine Show has undergone further refinement of classes(after the judges recommendations). Changes to some of the classes have been made so please carefully read the schedule.

All the entry information is available to download (as PDF files) on www.mudgeewine.com.au in the Members section, or you can follow the link on the home page of the Mudgee Wine site.

Important dates to remember for the 2009 Clear Image Mudgee Wine Show are:

August 2009
Monday 3rd – Closing date for the receipt of entry forms
September 2009
Monday 7th & Tuesday8th – Delivery of exhibits
Wednesday 9th – Day 1 judging of open wine classes
Thursday 10th – Day 2 judging of open wine classes
Friday 11th (am) – Conclusion of judging
Friday 11th (pm) – Exhibitors Tasting, Judges Forum
Friday 11th (pm) – Wine Show Trophy Dinner
Saturday 12th – Wine Show Public Tasting

Very importantly, we are pleased that Clear Image, who has provided valuable long-term support for the Wine Show, has again returned to be the Gold Sponsor of the 2009 Wine Show. Clear Image has been a great supporter of the Mudgee Wine Industry and continues to provide the very highest level of print and labeling services to Mudgee Regional producers.

The Wine Show Committee and the Mudgee Wine Grape Growers Association extend an invitation to all eligible Wine producers to enter Wines for judging in the 2009 Clear Image Mudgee Wine Show. We would also like to invite you to the support events such as the Public Tasting and the Wine Show Trophy dinner.
