Entries open now
The Wine Show Committee is pleased to welcome producers with eligible exhibits to enter the 48th 2019 CRS Mudgee Wine Show.
It is very exciting to announce we have Cudgegong Rural supplies (CRS) continuing as major sponsor, we would like to thank the team at CRS for their support of our industry.
Again in 2019, the Mudgee Wine Show will be adopting the AWRI ‘Showrunner’ platform for entries and the running of the show. There are a few updates this year, so please acquaint yourself with the new system.
The Rules and Regulations of the CRS Mudgee Wine Show are available through the showrunner website. We’ve added some new classes this year, with single varietals separated from blends and a new class for early release red wines.
We have extended our Viticulturist of the Year award to better reflect the hard work of our viticulture teams (with extensive changes coming up for 2020 too), you can find the details here – Viticulturist of the year application form

The Mudgee Wine Show is proud to be a regional wine show that promotes wines made from grapes grown within the Mudgee GI. The panel of Judges will once again be led by Mike DeGaris as Chairman of Judges along with Jeff Byrne (previous Chief Winemaker at Agnew Wines and current chair of NSW Small Winemakers show) and Will Figueira (Senior Wine Buyer for Wine Selectors). All judges have extensive Wine knowledge and wine show judging experience.
As usual we will be allowing entries from local producers who utilise fruit from within the Central Ranges zone that encompasses Cowra, Orange and Mudgee. These blended wines often highlight the unique structural and flavour attributes that the Mudgee region possesses. Their importance is acknowledged by allowing their entry again to the CRS Mudgee Wine Show.
On the afternoon of Thursday 5th September, there will be a Judges seminar where all exhibitors are invited to attend. Additionally there will be a number of one-on-one sessions for exhibitors to ask questions directly relating to their wine entries. The cost for a 25-minute session is $50 with a maximum of 3 participants from each exhibitor. Please contact Liam Heslop for more information.
This will hopefully allow local producers to improve the quality of their wines and is in the true spirit of the Australian Wine Show system.
Best regards and good luck in the Mudgee Wine Show
Chairman – Mudgee Wine Show
